1960 Development of three prototypes of Total Artificial Heart National University of Cordoba, Argentina.

1982 Univentricular Artificial Heart. Only the left ventricle is replaced with a blood pump The right ventricle is substituted by a shunt from right atrium to the pulmonary artery (Fontan’s operation). This work was performed in the laboratories of the Texas Heart Institute Houston, Texas – and University of Utah, Department of Artificial Organs – Salt Lake City Utah, USA with a grant from Fortabat Foundation, Argentina.

1981 Lelft ventricular Cardiocirculatory Assistance with a pump implanted in the wall of the left chest.

1999 Left Ventricular Cardiocirculatory Assistance. A new implantable system synchronized with the patient’s ECG. Work performed in the laboratories of the University of Moron, Conicet and National Institute of Agriculture Technology (INTA).
